They match the outline. They do not match the metal, the dial material, or the movement.

Case diameter lands near 40 mm. The small-seconds subdial sits at 5 o'clock. Hands are blued or painted to read as blued steel. Most copies use a 316L steel case with rose gold plating at 3 to 5 microns. Plating wears through on the lugs and caseback edges in one to two years of daily wear.
What replicas miss
Grand feu enamel is fired at about 800 C. Replica dials are lacquer, pad-printed paint, or enamel powder. Under a loupe the surface shows no depth. The Breguet secret signature is absent, printed in the wrong spot, or visible from every angle instead of one.
Movements in copies are Seagull ST21, Miyota 9015, or another third-party automatic. None has the 502.3 SD bridge layout. Stated power reserve on listings often reads 45 hours, the same as the genuine figure, with no test data behind it.

Plated steel copies list at USD 200 to USD 400. Higher tiers marketed as super clones list at USD 500 to USD 700. Genuine 7147BR watches trade on the secondary market in the tens of thousands of dollars. A seller asking USD 1,500 for a used 7147BR is selling a copy, a stolen watch, or a watch with a swapped movement.
How to check one
- Look at the dial edge under 10x. Enamel has a rounded, glassy step at the chapter ring. Paint shows a flat printed line.
- Compare the small seconds hand. Genuine hands are thin and blue. Copies run thicker, with a printed track that overlaps the enamel step.
- Read the caseback. Reference, serial, and gold hallmarks on the genuine watch are stamped into the metal. Many copies laser-etch them.
- Ask for a movement photo. A Miyota rotor or an undecorated Seagull bridge is visible at once.
- Book an inspection. Breguet does not run a public serial database. An authorized service center can open the case and confirm the calibre.
Legal position
