Rolex built the GMT-Master II ref. 16710 from 1989 to 2007. Buyers could pick a black, red and blue, or red and black bezel insert, and collectors named the red and black version the Coke. The watch runs a 40 mm steel case at about 12.5 mm thick, houses a 3185 or 3186 caliber, and came on an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet. The modern ceramic GMT-Master II uses a different case, bezel, and lug profile, so a real Coke build has to follow the older aluminum-bezel template.

- Pull the crown to the second position and confirm the 24-hour hand jumps in one-hour steps while the minute hand holds still.
- Check the bracelet end links for a flush fit against the lugs with no visible gap.
- Read the clasp stamp and compare the code format to the expected production range.
